about.
Immersive Vision is an interactive 3D animation made in Unreal Engine, created for a glasses-free 3D screen. The idea was to see how storytelling can change when the viewer can move and look around in the scene, instead of just sitting and watching like normal film. Small shifts in perspective give more depth and presence, so it feels more immersive than video on a flat screen. The animation was adjusted for this special display, so it runs smooth and feels multidimensional, inviting people to look closer and explore.
challenge.
Making this project meant I had to rethink how to tell a story. On a glasses-free 3D screen, I had to fine-tune things like resolution, brightness, and viewing angles, so the picture stays clear and sharp from different sides. Because there is no fixed camera like in film, I had to find ways to guide attention but still let people explore the scene. Technically it was also demanding: assets and lighting in Unreal had to be optimized a lot for performance, and the animation and rigs needed extra care so characters moved natural from many angles. Depth and parallax also had to be in balance, otherwise it became uncomfortable to watch.
results.
When people tried the installation, they reacted very strong. Many leaned closer, walked around the display, or even reached out with their hands like they could touch the characters floating in the air. This physical reaction showed that they really felt present in the scene. Several people told me the animation felt “alive” and “right there.” It held attention longer than normal video, and many came back to look again from another angle or to show it to friends.
